Name, email address and other contact data, job title and employer, feedback and contact history, marketing preferences.   Either collected when you sign up to use our products and services or contact our customer services team, or provided to us by your employer. To communicate with you regarding the services being provided to your employer and to send you marketing communications such as our newsletter. To enable us to pursue our legitimate interest to provide our services, expand our business and engage with our customers.
End Users of our Advertising Services
Device and usage data including IP addresses and device identifiers. Location information Collected by our third party service providers when you approach or interact with our advertising screens. We do not have direct access to this data, but it may be processed on our behalf by our third party service providers.

 

To improve the customisation and relevance to end users of the advertising that is presented via our screens.To analyse the effectiveness of our screen advertising and the demographics of advertising subjects on an anonymised basis. To enable us to pursue our legitimate interests to deliver our advertising services, analyse their effectiveness and improve our customers’ experience.
Consumers
Name, email address, age, gender, shopper status, profession, preferences such as favourite TV programme.   Directly from you when you sign up to enter a competition, or to participate in our C-Vision research panel.  To facilitate and manage your entrance into a competition or your participation on a research panel.  

To carry out analysis and profiling for marketing purposes.  

To perform the contract that we have with you, or about to enter into with you.  

Where you have given your consent.  

To enable us to pursue our legitimate interests to deliver our advertising services, analyse their effectiveness and improve our services and generate new business.

 

We may use your personal data to create a profile based on the information you provide. This profiling will help us tailor communications, offers, and content to your preferences, needs, and interests. This profiling may be automated, but will not result in decisions that have a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affect you unless explicitly stated.

We also process inferred/modelled demographic characteristics (such as age) of advertising subjects who interact with our screens, and may share this information with our advertising customers where appropriate. This data is generated by our third party service providers. Such information is provided on an anonymised and aggregated basis, and does not constitute personal data.

We have a duty to process personal data fairly, lawfully and in a manner that you would expect given the nature of our relationship with you. Where we have a legal basis to use your personal data without consent (as set out in the table above), this policy fulfils that duty by giving you appropriate notice and explanation of the way in which your personal data will be used. Where consent is required for our use of your personal data we will ask you to positively opt-in.

Sharing your information

You acknowledge that we may share your personal data with your consent or as necessary with selected third party service providers that support us in the performance of the activities set out in the table above:

  • Service providers acting as processors who provide services such as IT and system administration services, email segmentation and automation, for example Random.org, WordPress, Hubspot and Mailchimp.
  • Marketing companies and online advertising agencies helping us to manage our electronic communications and to help us show you the advertising you are most likely to be interested in. 
  • Companies that provide marketing and advertising assistance (including management of email marketing operations, mobile messaging services such as SMS, and services that deploy advertising on the internet or social media platforms) as well as analysis of the effectiveness of our advertising and communications campaigns.
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services.
  • HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities based in the United Kingdom.

 

We may also share your personal data with other third parties, for example in the context of the possible sale or restructuring of the business. We may also need to share your personal data with a regulator or otherwise to comply with the law.

We require all our third party with whom we share your information to take appropriate and stringent security measures to protect your personal data in line with our policies. In particular, we do not allow our third party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes in accordance with our instructions.

We do not share personal data relating to specific advertising subjects with any third parties, save where otherwise stated in this policy.

We may share your personal data with third parties where required by law or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so that is not overridden by your interests and fundamental rights. For example, to protect our customers or to operate and maintain the security or our computer systems).

Storing your information

We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected  it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.
